The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Saint Peter's University Hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services to children and adults with hearing impairments and disorders resulting from injury, disease or other causes, as well as, evaluation for vestibular and balance disorders for all age groups ranging from infants to the geriatric population.
Our licensed audiologist holds a clinical doctoral degree and certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
The following diagnostic testing procedures and services are available by appointment.
- Hearing (audiological) evaluation
- Newborn hearing screening and follow-up
- Tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing
- Otoacoustic emissions testing (OAE)
- Auditory evoked response testing (ABR/BAER)
- Auditory steady state response testing (ASSR)
- Auditory Processing Disorder testing (APD) or Central Auditory Processing testing (CAPD)
- Hearing aid evaluation and fitting
