McCarrick Care Center provides a broad array of qualified professional health services. The Center’s clinical programs are overseen by a full-time medical director who is a board-certified geriatrician on staff at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, a member of Saint Peter’s Healthcare System. Our support staff includes a geriatric clinical nurse specialist, professional licensed registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. A licensed dietician and board certified medical physiologist also are on staff.
In an effort to keep our most ill residents comfortable, McCarrick supports the use of pain management (palliative care) to ensure that they remain comfortable and at peace. Hospice care is available at McCarrick as it is at Saint Peter’s as an extension of critical care. Through an association with several agencies, services are provided by staff, including a nurse, trained in hospice care.
