Beginning this month, a group of radiologists from Diagnostic Imaging, Inc. (DII) will provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.

Saint Peter’s selected DII, a member of the vRad® Radiology Alliance, the premier integrated national specialty network, because of its long history of providing expert services across the entire spectrum of patient care and collaborating with hospitals throughout central and southern New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The new partnership allows Saint Peter’s to offer an even broader spectrum of radiological care to adult and pediatric patients, such as more advanced radiology services for cancer patients. “The DII radiologists have specialized training from some of the most prestigious radiology programs in the country,” said Paul McGinnis, M.D., new chair of the Department of Radiology at Saint Peter’s. “Patients will now have access to new advanced services such as MRI-guided breast biopsies for the detection of breast cancer and radioembolization treatment for inoperable liver cancer.”

Saint Peter’s will have access to the expertise of over 400 vRad® radiologists, an industry-leading quality assurance program, as well as the unparalleled operational support of vRad® Alliance, adds Dr. McGinnis. “Our strong local team of board-certified radiologists will deliver exceptional service for patients with the support of an innovative technology infrastructure,” he says.

DII will provide around-the-clock radiology service coverage and offer the full spectrum of interventional radiology services for adults and children, including biopsies, vascular procedures, venous access, nonvascular interventions and MSK procedures. Radiologists who are highly experienced in pediatric radiology are part of the Saint Peter’s team, complementing the wide array of services at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.
