The 4th Annual Diabetes: From Head to Toe Educational Conference will be held at the North Brunswick High School on Saturday, March 23, 2013, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The event includes bilingual (Spanish/English) seminars and discussions about nutrition, nerve damage, depression, heart related complications, exercise & management, and prevention of diabetes. The conference also features free health screenings for blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, body mass index, dental conditions, flu shots, osteoporosis, skin damage, lung age capacity, smoking age progression, carbon monoxide, foot health and vision. Participants will learn to prepare and cook healthier meals with Celebrity Chef Mauricio Londono or participate at seminars about changes in Medicare and Social Security, among other activities.
