Radiology
Comprehensive radiology services at Saint Peter’s University Hospital are provided by a group of board-certified radiologists from Diagnostic Imaging, Inc. (DII) whose areas of expertise include body imaging, pediatric radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, nuclear radiology, thoracic radiology, interventional radiology, and women’s imaging.
Radiology Services
DII delivers the highest level of around-the-clock radiology services including comprehensive diagnostic radiology, routine X-ray examinations, ultrasounds, computerized tomography (CT) scanning, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), carotid imaging, mammography including digital mammography, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine. Patients have access to advanced services such as MRI-guided breast biopsies for the detection of breast cancer and radioembolization treatment for inoperable liver cancer.
Interventional Radiology (IR)
The DII Interventional Radiology team has extensive experience in interventional oncology and will provide the full spectrum of interventional radiology services. DII was one of the first practices in the United States to introduce Therasphere (Y90) treatment of liver tumors in the community hospital setting.
Pediatric Radiology
All diagnostic imaging interpretations at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s will be provided by radiologists who are highly experienced in pediatric radiology. Radiologists who are fellowship-trained in pediatric radiology will provide on-site services during regular business hours.
Women’s Imaging
In addition to screening mammography, breast MRI, ultrasound and other routine procedures, MRI-guided breast biopsies are available.
