Our staff and board-certified physicians use the latest imaging technology to provide precise diagnoses and treatment for cardiovascular diseases. Saint Peter's cardiac facilities include three diagnostic testing suites; two cardiac catheterization laboratories also used for peripheral angioplasties and pacemaker implantation; and a 31-bed Telemetry Unit for adults who need heart monitoring. Our Telemetry Unit and outpatient cath lab use the principles of "healing environment" design, which is proven to help patients relax and recover more quickly.
Saint Peter's is licensed to provide emergency angioplasty, a minimally invasive procedure designed to open life-threatening coronary blockages and restore normal blood flow to the heart.
Other state-of-the-art diagnostic and interventional services include:
The CHOP Cardiac Center provides comprehensive services for newborns and children with all types of heart ailments, including congenital abnormalities, heart murmurs, congestive heart failure, rheumatic fever, Kawasaki disease and arrhythmias. The Center provides both in-hospital care and outpatient services.
