Volunteering at Saint Peter's

Saint Peter’s University Hospital is home to a Volunteer Department consisting of extraordinary volunteers who donate countless hours of their time to help our staff care for our patients and visitors.  Each of our volunteers brings a unique style, set of skills, and experience which enhance and impact the overall patient experience.

Here is some important information about our program:

  • Volunteers at Saint Peter’s perform various clerical duties such as answering phones, collating mailings, special projects, running errands throughout the hospital campus, delivering flowers and mail to the units, greeting patients, and helping visitors to find their way.
  • Volunteers serve to meet the non-clinical needs of the hospital. The Volunteer Services department does not offer internship or shadowing opportunities. Volunteers do not provide or participate in clinical care.
  • The minimum time commitment is 2 hours on a weekly basis.  Commitment of at least 12 months or more.
  • Volunteer shifts are available mornings and afternoons, Monday thru Friday.  No weekend or evening shifts are available.
