July 10, 2015

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Saint Peter’s University Hospital has received a $25,000 grant from the Andersen Corporate Foundation for the expansion and modernization of its emergency department.

“Saint Peter’s University Hospital deeply appreciates the generous support of Andersen Corporate Foundation and Silver Line by Andersen, the hospital’s close North Brunswick neighbor,” said Jim Choma, chief development officer, Saint Peter’s Foundation. “This grant helps provide for a newer and expanded emergency department, which will be large enough to meet the needs of the central New Jersey community and its surrounding areas for many years to come.”

The Andersen Corporate Foundation, Bayport, Minn., was established in 1941 with the mission “to better people’s lives and strengthen communities, focusing primarily where Andersen employees live and work.” Since then, the foundation has donated more than $54 million to worthy causes. Silverline by Andersen, North Brunswick, N.J., is the local Andersen affiliate. Silver Line by Andersen is the nation’s leading vinyl window and door manufacturer, opening its doors in 1947.

The Saint Peter’s University Hospital Emergency Department features one of the largest pediatrics emergency departments in New Jersey, special treatment bays for women’s health, acute care and rapid-treatment patients, a geriatric-friendly design, and a redesigned entranceway for ambulances, among numerous significant enhancements designed to improve care. Saint Peter’s University Hospital is now in the final year of its capital campaign in support of the $17 million expansion project.
