The prostate is a small gland found in front of the rectum and below the urinary bladder in men.  After skin cancer, cancer of the prostate is the most common among men. It can often be treated successfully through surgical or non-surgical treatments.” While the causes of prostate cancer are not completely understood, researchers have found that certain factors can put patients at risk.  Prostate cancer is very rare in men younger than 40, but the chance of getting prostate cancer rises rapidly after age 50 and it is most common in men more than 65 years of age.
