Cardiology services offer the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease using such cardiac and vascular diagnostic services as:
- Echocardiogram (transthoracic echocardiogram, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) and stress echo)
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Nuclear cardiology
- Stress testing
- Pacemaker checks
- Event and Holter monitors.
Saint Peter's board-certified cardiologists perform and interpret tests and follow up with reports to patients' referring physicians.
Cardiac exercise and nuclear stress testing are available to our adult inpatients seven days a week. The stress lab is operational from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM both Saturday and Sunday. Nuclear radiologists are available to interpret the nuclear images.
