Inpatient Pediatric Medicine

The Division of Inpatient Pediatric Medicine was designed to provide specialized pediatric care in the inpatient setting. At The Children's Hospital, our board certified pediatric hospitalists are dedicated to caring for hospitalized infants, children and adolescents. To ensure the optimal level of care for medically complex patients referred by their primary care physicians, many patients are assigned to the Division of Inpatient Pediatric Medicine. The inpatient specialists work closely with an array of medical and surgical sub-specialists throughout The Children's Hospital. They are also in close communication with the referring physician and ensure that they receive a detailed discharge summary.
