At Saint Peter's University Hospital, our staff of licensed physical therapists is skilled at providing care that reduces pain, prevents injury, and restores maximum function. Our expert staff is dedicated to maintaining, restoring, and improving movement and health, making it possible for our patients to have optimal function and quality of life.

Among the conditions we treat are: 

  • Orthopedic and sport injuries, such as sprains, strains, fractures, joint replacement and other surgical interventions, or overuse injuries

  • Head and spinal cord injuries

  • Neurologic conditions including, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, cerebrovascular accident (stroke), and traumatic brain injury

  • Work- and automobile-related injuries

  • Pain syndromes (acute and chronic).

The occupational therapists at Saint Peter's Physical Rehabilitation Services help patients achieve independence and perform activities following injuries, disease or disability, by creating individualized treatment plans that help patients regain the ability to perform everyday tasks. The occupational therapists provide the following services to help patients develop, recover, and maintain daily living and working skills:

  • Cognitive, visual and/or perception training

  • Adaptive equipment assessment and training

  • Home and workplace environment evaluation

  • Splinting

Call 732.565.5455 for more information or to make an appointment. A prescription from your doctor is required for occupational therapy services and a referral may be necessary. Most insurances are accepted.

Your team at Saint Peter's may ask you to complete a Health History form prior to your appointment to help meet your rehabilitation needs in an appropriate way. Print and complete the form and bring it with you when you arrive for your appointment.
