Janelle Foroutan

Janelle Foroutan, MD, is a Perinatologist in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Saint Peter’s University Hospital. Dr. Foroutan earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed a research fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Foroutan’s practice focuses on women with high-risk pregnancies. Her interests include diabetes, chronic hypertension, and preterm delivery. She also specializes in fetal ultrasound.

Dr. Foroutan’s research has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals. Since 2017, she has provided oversight as the principal investigator for several national research consortiums. She is a volunteer faculty member at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine.
