Our physicians offer customized treatment for individuals with diabetes in collaboration with certified diabetes educators in the area of nursing, nutrition and clinical social work. In addition, Saint Peter's Thyroid and Diabetes Center has earned American Diabetes Association (ADA) recognition for diabetes education*.
Patients with thyroid conditions, such as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, thyroiditis and thyroid nodule, receive diagnosis and comprehensive treatment. Comprehensive treatment of osteoporosis is also provided for the prevention of bone loss and fractures, and treatment of disorders that may affect bones, such as parathyroid disorders, Vitamin D abnormalities and other calcium-related disorders. Registered dietitian-nutritionists at Saint Peter's University Hospital offer personal outpatient nutrition counseling and diet education for children and adults.
