Saint Peter’s offers many outpatient services within The Center for Ambulatory Resources (CARES), located on the Saint Peter’s University Hospital campus across from the Women and Children’s Pavilion. Among the outpatient specialty care services offered are audiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, surgery and Saint Peter’s Clergy Health program.

CARES Surgicenter: As a state-of-the-art facility, the CARES Surgicenter serves each patient with the highest standard of care in a comfortable and professional atmosphere and is dedicated to meeting your healthcare needs. Our staff makes patients’ visits as pleasant as possible, providing care in a warm, friendly, personalized and professional setting. In recognition of the high standard of care provided at the CARES Surgicenter, Newsweek magazine named it the “Best Ambulatory Surgery Center” in New Jersey in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Saint Peter’s Breast Center: Saint Peter’s Breast Center has always been on the front line in the battle against breast cancer. Saint Peter’s Breast Center was the first breast center in central New Jersey to earn a full three-year accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program of the American College of Surgeons.

Women’s Imaging: Saint Peter’s Women’s Imaging is located within Saint Peter’s Breast Center. A variety of comprehensive breast and osteoporosis studies are performed. Our facility is certified by the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and all our technologists are ARRT certified in mammography.

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab: The Cardiac Catheterization Lab is outfitted for doctors to perform procedures such as cardiac catheterization; peripheral vascular angiograms; angioplasties to open clogged arteries in the arms, kidneys and legs; and pacemaker implantation.

The Wound Care Center® and Hyperbaric Services: With locations in New Brunswick and Monroe Township, Saint Peter’s Wound Care Center is a leader in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of chronic non-healing wounds. Patients are treated by a multidisciplinary team of board-certified physicians that includes general surgeons, vascular surgeons, plastic surgeons, internists, geriatricians, infectious disease specialists, physiatrists and clinical wound specialists.

The Thyroid and Diabetes Center: The Thyroid and Diabetes Center at Saint Peter’s is comprised of a multidisciplinary team led by dedicated endocrinologists (physicians specializing in the treatment of the endocrine system) with expertise in diabetes and dysmetabolic disorders, thyroid conditions and bone health.

The SKN South Asian Diabetes Center: The SKN South Asian Diabetes Center at Saint Peter’s University Hospital is a collaborative effort between the SKN Foundation, a local non-profit serving South Asians in the Central Jersey area, and Saint Peter’s University Hospital.
