Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program

Welcome to the Saint Peter’s University Hospital/Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our faculty physicians are experienced in, dedicated to, and enthusiastic about resident education.

Saint Peter’s University Hospital is a major clinical affiliate of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. We are fully accredited by the ACGME and the RRC Committee in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The Saint Peter’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program is designed to provide each resident a well-balanced education in the ever-broadening field of woman’s health care. The residency’s core mission is to provide the education and experiences necessary to develop the attitudes and skills required to practice as an independent and confident Ob/Gyn generalist.

In addition, the program is designed to provide each resident with the opportunity to rotate in each of the various sub-specialties within Ob/Gyn and to also facilitate and promote potential interest in a fellowship.

The importance of continuity of patient care is stressed and provided with the establishment and participation in a clinic throughout the four years. Integrated into this are several rotations as the chief of Ambulatory Services.
Our goals and objectives are detailed in each resident’s core rotation. Evaluations are completed on a continuous basis following the ACGME core competencies for graduate medical education, and milestone evaluations are performed two times per academic year – with appropriate resident feedback provided during their semiannual reviews.

Team work, respect, professionalism, selfless service, and safety are paramount to our goals and overall objectives.
